things a little more formalized and look how well it's already working yeah we're always going to BS guys uh so uh if you if you've just tuning in to reverse the verse the very first time or if you've uh tuned in every week you will notice some changes uh reverse the verse is the cloud and premium games Community teams weekly informal live stream with the fans uh we're going to cover a couple topics today you can see them on the uh which direction is that yeah off to your yeah up to your left um and eventually take some questions to the fans so you'll see we'll start with our week in review Ben you're closer can you point to the box maybe we're gonna start with week in review and then we're gonna go down to where's my spaceship where we'll give you an update on the progress of all your spaceships and development then we'll go to patch update we'll talk about our

most recent patch that's on the PTU right now then we'll go into questions and answers and then finally we'll give you a brief uh look at what's coming up ahead so we can review it started off Ben what'd you do this week uh what did I do this week I'm asking you Sandy what did Ben do this week uh good question no a lot a lot on ships we did do a lot of work on some of the the New Concept ships that are coming up um the in fact we're doing our far ahead projections now so we're actually looking at concept ships after the ones that we're actually making right now um and we did a lot of work on the uh the dragonfly and the Polaris and all that um which are here in LA in design right now and then they'll go after artists uh any day now and our existing ships on existing ships let's work on that

um what else did I do yes you had a lot of wink Commander documents in my office that's gonna say what's your wing Commander scan document update 10 000 pages trying to get my tea what else happened this week um a lot of testing for 2-2 a lot of planning for the roll out there had a couple more interviews oh yes we did CM interviews um oh yeah I forgot about those did some Gamescom planning oh yeah same venue as last time all right so we're ready to say that the city's gonna convinue for the 2016 will be the same venue it was in in 2014 uh it's in Los Angeles what was that place

called the Avalon the Avalon it was a nice place nice little party area up top of course Chris is back in La this week so we can get our time for the chairmans and stuff shot and you know synced up with him about future plans yes and the degree fancier than a normal video productions you know we'll have like three people on the crew instead of one Hennessy fancy cameras and lenses uh it's gonna be good basically all the Talking Heads for the making of documentary which will come out with the game um shooting that Thursday I think yeah we're kicking it off Thursday yeah so cool um Tony zervix in town he wasn't at it he's gone now isn't he no he's

still there he leaves today yeah I know because every time he walks past me it's like because he knows I'm going to ask him to do something on video and he's like I just want to work he's a very dedicated man we love Tony z um what else do we do this week um I notice some format changes to around the verse yeah yeah we changed up around the verse a bit uh uh lots of help from Sandy Gardner actually in that we wanted to make it more friendly that was oh that was Monday it seems like a year ago I know no Sandy and I uh actually sat down the day before we shot to put together the script and uh we wanted to make it a little bit more friendly to new users explain who the hell these two idiots are yeah they're on your screen um and you know get kind of get a quicker better wrap up of what where

that and we hit them all at once to Ben here so let's just go through let's go through the list uh let's start with the most popular question star Fair where's my starfare star Fair um we are currently targeting that's not a guarantee but we're currently targeting for two three uh Hagar ready um I know we've lots of questions from folks who uh have the Gemini they want to know if they'll be able to explore the star fair when it goes Hangar ready yes they will we've made allowances for that so that's in the plan um it's really cool ship so cool but as with all large ships uh UK just will not give it up they just perfect forever and ever and ever tweaking and tweaking and tweaking I was talking with John crew this morning and the stuff that they're doing over there so cool okay it's ready we can have it tomorrow

but then we decided to add a bay window yes they decided to cut a window into the shows um so that's uh answer that question okay um bennu merchantment is on a long-term schedule but not in active development right now okay 890 jump uh same deal uh long-term schedule not an active development um I will say we actually and I hate to say this but we moved the 890 jump a little bit further back from the schedule to move the Carrick up recently so oh the Carrick the character moved up in the schedule all right I heard on ATV today that that Grandma's working on concepts for the caterpillar with Mark Skelton how's that coming along uh that's almost done I believe um they should be wrapping up the uh the

caterpillar work um and we'll be moving on to uh I forget if he's slotted for one of the concepts or if he's moving directly under the Carrick but it'll be one of those two now when we talk about reconcepting for the caterpillar we're not talking about a drastic change to the design no no when we talk about reconcept it usually means okay here's the caterpillar we have and by the way what does what do these nodules on the front do and how do you walk to the bridge and if there's a firefight in here are we going to getting players stuck in written place it's more of the deep drill down to the interior do kind of the gameplay functionality that we had not planned out two years ago if you remember the uh Old Ship Shape segment with Randy Vasquez where he took us through the white the the uh the white boxing of the caterpillar it revealed some issues with how to get from from certain

points to ship to other points so that's part of why we're going back to reconcerting to address those issues that were discovered when we started to lay out the internals but it's staying asymmetrical uh let's see uh Harold uh where's the herald I believe the herald has been kicked into uh it's gonna finish up in Austin now so the folks who are working on the Jean Scout moving onto the Herald it was it was it had a pretty good lead but before it got de-prioritized so yeah it hasn't had a bunch of work already done before uh we moved somebody off what about heck what what about uh the process ships like like the Orion uh they're all still longer term um mining stuff is getting a particular look because they're they're you know figuring out you know how you mine in

Austin so we are looking at the the function but not necessarily we don't know we haven't concepted the interior of the Orion yet the same is probably to be said for their claimer and all that stuff uh yes yes for the most part those those big functional ships uh they're they're more work is being done on their mechanic than their actual look and modeling them in the game right now what about the Redeemer the redeemer's been in the hangar for a while since next great Starship yes yes it has no comment beyond that okay and uh the prowler concept Growler has been scheduled for uh later this year the uh they have had a fire lit under their butts with regards to the tavar and race concepting so that once that's done then we have a better idea of exactly

what the uh Prowler looks like but it's not for lack of wondering it's just we want to give them as much time to make the race cool no you know no reason to rush this core part of our universe to sell another ship yeah I like that uh what about the Reliant we saw the Reliant in this week's ATV sneak peek I realize very very close it's it's undergoing the tech setup process now in fact it may be very close to done I would expect it in uh I don't want to say which patch but in an upcoming patch yeah it look it looks gorgeous I love the look of that ship I'm a fan I'm a b-wing fan though so I mean it's not it's not a 1-1 to the B wing but it's definitely evocative the only problem with the b-wing is actually flying it uh it's a pain to hit anything in X-Men uh it's one of those ships that was

additions in 2.2 sure thing thank you for setting me up in a totally realistic conversational manner um no we got physical class DBA we've got uh the flyable saber Hangar Ready jean Scout uh 24 player max uh in instances uh the new uh very very very very very very first uh the reputation system um made some changes to the layout of the Crusader region of space so it seems more realistic added some bits and Bobs around there um it's gonna be a nice update um we had some we switched our uh exclude process mid-month uh to one that's better but it caused all sorts of issues we had to go

back and re-import all sorts of textures and missing models and things so some of the early PTU builds were a little shaky with uh you know in fact all space was going red replacement because there was a missing light for a while um or if you were in if you got in the 315 or the even the inside of the ship was like it looked like a hassini nightclub yeah they look like a Windows remember the windows hot dog stand theme Windows three one yeah it looked kind of like oh sorry I looked like that you'd go to the edge of like the landing pads were fine and then you go to the edge and there as you looked at it over the rest of Port olusar it looked like it had a hot dog skin on it yeah in fact we had an initial PTU build the candidate last Friday and we loaded it up and every single character had a uh tomato around them it looked like uh

that movie about Killer Tomatoes yeah and there is a new build for the PTU going out later today yes uh hopefully and you know these things can always get screwed up somewhere between them telling us and it actually happening um but they they've got a build that's being put together right now um it is looking good it's a it'll go to the PTU it's a potential release candidate we don't know that we can go to live tonight it'll be something we all have a go no go we'll discuss we'll discuss that later today after we get a little bit of reaction from pdu but at the very least watch for an attempt at a nice PTU patch later today cool uh now one of the one of the additions to 2.2 is the uh Jean Scout shionka oh I said John

I have had this discussion with the Laura people they like that there are different pronunciation yes they do but it's Xi'an uh We've added the Xi'an Scout uh Kirk Tomei in this week's 10 for the developers uh revealed that the ship had has more from a two-seater to a one-seater yes uh you've had some discussions discussion on the forums right now um and we've looked into why that happened and how to make it not happen again basically and this is this is what we figured out in the last 24 hours uh several months ago a tech producer I'm not going to name any names because I'm not a jerk Justin Chambers it was all Justin Chambers no no uh no a tech producer looked at the John Scout and said you

know you've all seen the earlier concept model with the two seats one of our temperatures are looking well this won't work because you can't have a ship where one person is blocked in um this is a problem with the Gladius right now and they're refactoring some of it to Gladiator I'm glad to go the aider Gladiator I get them mixed up because they're very too familiar I don't know why we picked two names so close to each other but I don't either okay continue with your story um so uh can't have one person blocked in essentially it was it was a design no no to have one person blocked the end and their response was okay remove this extra seat it didn't have a function or anything at the point and yeah we hadn't come up with a function for it uh where the process fell down is that that was not really communicated it was put into our internal Confluence which is what went to the uh Tech setup

team but it did not propagate to design or community so um that's how that happens kind of like when uh you remember that probe that the NASA sent everything it was a Mars probe where they mixed up miles in Columbia so it was a honest mistake um but unfortunately um so we're gonna look at a way to have a uh second seat it's not something we can necessarily promise just because it is still a tech blocker and because it will be more work that's not scheduled yeah yeah I mean when we found out it was very soon just before you guys found out it was the day we were filming that 10 for the developers and that's why Kirk leads off with it in the episode even though it's not what the question's about with as soon as we figured out we wanted to get that information out there

and so you know I don't have anything else to add to it it's not even I told them on the forums that we would figure out what happened and that is exactly what happened uh all right so uh patch besides the besides the Xi'an Scout we've got uh Hangar ready we've got the saber flyable mm-hmm uh that seem that's that's going over pretty well um I would say the John sky is going pretty well because it's absolutely stunning oh it's greater videos is totally gorgeous yep have you seen the Flight of the Navigator stairs that come out of it yes yes that is ladies movie that holds up by the way other than that it's peewee's voice I like that this people's voice though it's kind of weird I can't do it I was about to try it I can't do it and I was I was always terrified when the thing ate his hat

can they send us a picture of it no no no no um let's see uh the Crusader itself got got some uh rearranging uh things were resized things were repositioned you've probably noticed that uh Crusader came much closer in line to its intended size and yellow came much closer in line to its intended sides and so yeah so but I should stress that does not mean there won't be huge gas giants out there you know that Tech is already in we've figured it out we just uh Crusaders getting smaller because we're gonna put a little settlement on it where you docked him yeah we're building natural Crusader Landing zone so that's connected to that let me go back to the saber for a minute because I remember this is another thing I screwed up this week I was yeah but go

ahead just about to hit you with it I've heard the saber might not be a stealth yeah sorry yeah I was on the uh interview with Nikki back girl D'Angelo she does a weekly sometimes weekly interview with me for some reason and uh we were talking about the she she asked me something like is the saver a stealth still a stealth fighter and I was like no it's not a stealth fighter in my head like I'm thinking you know super angular F-117 actually a bomber uh and not so to clear this up the the saber is a dog fighter with an emphasis on stealth it's uh it's like a modern air spray artifacter thank you to the person who read it who pointed this out it's it's you know the F-22 the F-35 it's it's designed to dogfight other aircraft and to be very stealthy um which in our mechanic means you know

lower lower signature lower observability so on and so on um as opposed to like an f117 yeah it's supposed to like if it's 117 or a B2 or something that's what I had in my head is and this is something we've been discussing as a later in the year concept is an actual stealth stealth stealth uh you know something that looks like it's angular and radar absorbent and it just has its whole purposes to get into battle fire a missile and get out or something um so that is what threw me there uh not not an intent to uh reduce the stealth you know no design change for the stealth plans for the saber you have a lot of ship information rattling around in your head I do and uh sometimes it collides in fact there's there's like a 300 uh there's like a 300 email thread right now let's like shift

classifications and it's like every single reference I ever made they've gathered up and like but what is a medium fighter there's no such thing as a medium fighter and I'll just replying like no because for Wing Commander it doesn't make sense to you and nobody else that's how I think uh my brain is too much uh Wing commander and uh 1990s books about World War II airplanes uh to make sense to anyone all right and with that I will say one more thing about the John Scout um the change to design Scout is not not at all indicative of an indication to it not being a scout or to any reduced uh plans for exploration expiration is one of the most major things in Star Citizen it will remain that way that's what's happening right now

you know what do you mean we're such a classy and wonderful show why would anyone not watch this I hope that came up sarcastic I know I would say uh f9s uh with a recent patch in the PTU ships seem a lot slower their freelancer being a good example will this be addressed or what we've seen or or is what we're seeing the new Norm for the future of the Pu not forever um you know we we experiment with different uh sets essentially so it provides us a lot of information to have ships be a little bit slower look at combat not as quickly because obviously one issue that I think everyone sees coming is uh time to kill so you want to ship to you want a little bit slower combat in the Pu so we we're

experimenting with different ways to make that work um because we don't just want to do that we Commander three thing where your ship starts to explode capture starts to explode and then you have to look away before it does in addition to you know constant changes we're constantly going to tweak up and down and stuff to see what the effects are there was a persistent bug with SCM in the first couple builds this uh for PTU where SCM was artificially locking people at 10 kph I don't remember what the actual speed was so even when you weren't triggering it the SCM was triggering on its own and unlocking people's solar speeds so that may have been what you were experiencing specifically with the freelancer that you mentioned reminds me the patch now includes fertilizer damage dates party time

oh wait somebody asked what editing software we use we use Adobe Premiere I'm happy to be able to answer a question today boost the entire Adobe suite we use the entire Adobe suit yes but they want to know if we used it Avid or Adobe Premiere we use Premiere we do not have a machine Oh Yes actually we do yeah it's on the other half of the office they're using the Avid machine for 242 dailies yeah yeah so I wonder if it's the same one is it I did because he had one back in the wink Commander movie tits I wonder if it's the same one all right well Avid hasn't changed much I mean it's obviously become current but third was pretty recent though because I had to work on it when we were doing the uh assistant on uh timeline retrospective it's probably something he picked up in his other years

it's not actually an avid machine it used to be called the Avid it was actually a machine yeah yeah because now it's a software program some people still call it okay it was a machine called it was the app and like you use the Avid like Kevin Smith and Scott wolf you use the added to cut Chasing Amy and stuff like that now it's a software some computer software runs on a PC just like our Premiere does they use it they're actually not cutting daily so that they're cutting uh they're they're doing script uh rewriting the script using the dailies to make changes so if an accurate improper line uh they're using it to uh they're going back using it look and get that footage and changing the master script for the reasons you should have come into the shot for that if anybody heard anything media version you just have a big silent portion in
