Hi, I'm Darren Borlick, part of the production team. My title is production coordinator on Star Citizen. Uh my daily responsibilities are uh project manager for various parts of Arena Commander and ship component development. I first heard about it through various gaming news sites. Uh, I've always been a sci-fi fanatic from uh playing various sci-fi games. It's always been my favorite genre. So, when I first heard uh Star Citizen, it caught my my interest as far as a space MMO is concerned. And once I started doing some research, u I realized who was behind it, Chris Roberts. And I was instantly peeked about what it entailed. The part of Star Citizen that I'm

looking forward to the most are capital class ships. I've always been a big fan of naval battles. From playing Warhammer to reading about naval battles, starship battles. So, the idea of of massive Titanic ships combating in space, it just it gets my heart racing. looking forward to being able to be the captain of of my first massive starship and sending out into the void and taking down other ships. Being part Japanese, Japanese food tends to be my favorite. I'd have to say it's a tossup between Japanese curry or pork katsu. Usually combining the both is is extra delicious. [Music]

This is an odd one. My favorite band of all time is Tears for Fears. Big band from the 80s. Uh my favorite song of theirs is Shout. It was one of the first songs I actually started recognizing uh different patterns in music and is one that stuck with me ever since I was in third or fourth grade. Never- Ending Story for me. Never ending story represents endless imagination and and never being able or never having to give that imagination up. I teach martial arts and I've been teaching for about 20 years and it's a movie that I recommend to a lot of the parents when they have a a child who has a lot of potential but is either doing a lot of daydreaming class may not be paying attention. I usually tell them watch this film. And it's funny how many parents come back to me saying oh my god sensei this perfectly describes my son or my daughter. In fact, I like that

movie so much I've got the Orin tattooed on my shoulder. Favorite game of all time. Again, we're going to go really really way back on this one. Ultima 5. That that bird's eye view 2D 16C color role playing game was hugely pivotal for me in PC gaming or just gaming in general. It was one of the first games that I'd played that had such a storydriven element to it that here's this massive world that I could explore in color with a functioning storyline where every character followed a day-to-day pattern between night and day and it wasn't just conquering evil. The character had to make sure he was upholding all the virtues that were representative in the world of how to become a a good person. So throughout the years that game always stuck with my favorite. In fact, I still fired up

every now and then just to reminisce over it. I play Warhammer 40k and where I do a lot of uh miniature painting tournaments or competitions. I do a lot of gymnastics, uh martial arts tricking if anybody's familiar with the acrobatic aspect of that. Been doing martial arts for 30 years. Um do rock climbing, scuba diving, hiking, bouldering, automotive racing. Still want to go skydiving. But basically, if there's something I haven't tried yet, I'm I'm willing to try it at least once. If I like it, I'll do it more than once. But the more adrenaline rush that it gives me, the better. Favorite ship in Star Citizen right now, I'd have to say is the Idris. It's the biggest one out there right now. I'm

hoping once we start working on capital class ships, the address is probably going to get replaced by another one. But right now, that massive flying thing, it it gets my heart going. It just gets me excited for for bigger and larger things. One message for our fans is thank you. Uh, thank you for helping make this happen. Um, if it wasn't for our fans and our backers and our players, I wouldn't be here and I wouldn't be able to partake of this amazing opportunity. So, uh, if there's one thing I say again, it's thank you for making this happen. Thanks for letting me talk to you guys. My name is Darian Borlick, a production coordinator on Star Citizen. Hope to see you guys in the verse.
