star citizen live game dev the ruins of home hello everybody we're back welcome to star citizen live uh game dev ruins of home i am your host uh jared huckaby welcome to uh uh my new home here in manchester uh united kingdom uh i'm not quite fully uh uh moved in just yet but uh hold on let me check this out here and do that uh so yeah so uh welcome to welcome to the show uh we we took a couple weeks off uh one we had a holiday for easter and the other one uh the company was nice enough to grant me a little time for the for the move

  2. 00:00:49

um joining me on the show uh this week uh uh is a star citizen live game dev superstar uh fred from our manchester studio how you doing fred hey how's it going good uh also down in the i forgot i forgot i did this i was joking about it but i actually did it down in the corner here we have we have a drawing of pierre luke let me uh let me just hide the drawing of pierre lucca uh we were goofing off before the beginning of the show uh fred tell everybody who you are and what you do yes uh i'm a senior concept artist in the montreal office um i'm doing uh some uh cool stuff on uh many mandate at the moment so it's pretty interesting and uh creating a lot

  3. 00:01:37

of new feature and stuff like this so uh it's pretty cool and uh because today's show is a game dev show where we uh follow through with the process of of how we create something for the game what are we doing this week we're gonna talk about outpost derelict uh mandate uh pretty interesting following uh the crash site directs we previously talked about so um it's it's gonna be pretty interesting because it's another you know uh thematic and we're gonna exploit the building and the outpost uh architecture and stuff like this so it's going to be pretty interesting to see how far we we got with this guys so uh

  4. 00:02:28

it's it's when we're ready i'm i'm going uh before we get started uh i know folks are anxiously awaiting the arrival of alpha 317 to live servers i can tell you i have zero involvement in its journey to the live servers i have no information to give you no information to provide you um just keep an eye out on the robertsbaseindustries.com website keep the social medias going that's where that information is going to go i'm just the video guy and fred draws the pictures so all right fred with that we'll go ahead and start the screen share there we'll flip you over that's not the right scene hold on there's the right scene oh yeah i got pr

  5. 00:03:16

luke in this scene too i just really get all right so we are now on your screen chair all right take it away man okay so welcome guys i'm gonna talk a bit about uh the briefing on the outpost rick so uh firstly we we went into the uh mood board phase where we we had a chat about what could be uh the the place what what could be the uh the weathering and this kind of stuff uh this arctic and this kind of overgrown uh and the the general mood of it it's also uh runes so it was pretty important to to understand that language of uh of those

  6. 00:04:04

building is completely destroyed and it's probably yeah the war and some stuff like this uh natural element destroying the building but we wanted to feel that kind of disintegration of the the architecture so uh that phase was really important into the the process because it's really the sparkle of what we're gonna do so um i'm starting by gathering like most of the the work we've done before we already like uh have a bank of uh material we're using so uh we started with uh the architecture from colonism

  7. 00:04:53

uh i just got like straight building and i'm gonna smash those building into uh something else got to see because of all the work that has already been done creating the complete and usable colonialism outposts you already had a bank of stuff that you can pull from yeah exactly so it speed up the process 10 times because we don't have to redo all those guys so um the pro the the the step was uh involving was pretty much uh destroying those building and uh creating uh those shapes to to understand the value of negative space and positive and stuff like this so uh i

  8. 00:05:43

went into uh those process to uh to just cut off the the mesh and see how it gonna look from face from side from top and having a general idea because i mean before to go like too deeply in 3d and starting placing stuff we we want to have an idea about it we went to uh another uh step where i just place a lot of texturing and stuff like debris this kind of stuff on top so um what i do it's gonna make some uh run into a blender hopefully it's not gonna be too chuggy

  9. 00:06:34

but so what is cool with this process um it's we have like a proper uh scale of the object you know it's fun to go and see okay that's we're really close to uh the in-game uh philosophy of uh walking through this assets so for concept it's it's pretty interesting we're not working in uh in an imaginary scale we we're trying to stick to uh what is already existing in term of uh metric and stuff like this so i'm going to jump in here for the folks who are watching at home either live now on twitch or on youtube later

  10. 00:07:22

on uh uh fred here is in canada and i am here in the uh in the uk what you're seeing here is him broadcasting to me over zoom uh in order to keep the picture as clean and as crisp and as clear as possible uh there is a bit of a delay in the video and that's why you see the stuttering right now we could make it faster but the picture started looking kind of gross and stuff so we we decided uh before the show that we'd rather have clean and pretty pictures uh i will i will try to sacrifice some frame rate for that for the pictures for this one so go ahead continue okay so yeah that's and preparing those assets it's uh it's the key of

  11. 00:08:10

of that all what what's going to happen next uh we need to create those guys to to create multitude of other pieces so um and having a good uh texturing and uh having a good destruction i i run a pass of uh physics on it also to just like get the the proper uh the proper destruction uh physics like those guys they're pretty broad but i mean it's still concept but we want to to have a bit of uh realism uh because i'm not gonna break that by end because it's gonna take long with some specific tools that's pretty cool we got that feeling so uh pretty

  12. 00:09:00

useful for concept after that we we establish some uh key assets where i'm gonna i'm gonna make a more advanced uh painting on it so we're gonna i'm gonna explore maybe the inner structure the this kind of rendering it's a pretty rough sketch but really important because that's that's gonna drive probably a lot of my other concepts we have uh another version where we have uh the uh it's inaudible

  13. 00:09:50

it was pretty cool because it's like taking those guys after we just like placing some starps and stuff like this to make like people living around or scavenger uh bring those uh those pieces from uh everywhere and they just building like a a camp or a observatory post or something like that so those guys are pretty cool because it's it was something interesting to make also in 3d i'm going to load those guys just to and we're going to have some loading time and that's why i bring my little kerlik because we need to wait a bit so

  14. 00:10:43

during this time i'm just gonna sketch bill again who who who who is beer luke yeah luke is uh is a wonderful person who's working with us in montreal he's the uh the artistic director in montreal so uh it's it's kind of a homage to him you know because it i we always have a running game between me and him man we're just sending screenshot of like part of her face sometime it and it came out i'm i said i'm gonna draw him that's it so oh we have this so uh yeah but pl is gonna stay on the corner here we're gonna gonna see him and i'm keeping a bit of time at the end to just

  15. 00:11:31

finish that piece because i think it's uh it's gonna be awesome those guys here uh pretty uh pretty cool i i to to have this uh this kind of view you know we understand that's it's a living space where probably people just gathering stuff and and going into uh this place and making their own and um we didn't push that that guy uh further because i think we we had enough visual cue ultimately it it could happen we we have to push a bit more uh the concept of this guy

  16. 00:12:18

but uh it it's it's a pretty interesting piece too to continue working anyway so the final render of those guys here this guy also those guy was pretty cool to do and we follow to those other those other key heart because all the all the the prep work we made before uh is just driving those guys and when we want to create like a lot of concept to uh in the different locations and biomes it's really important to be well prepared and having uh

  17. 00:13:09

having those uh assets ready to uh to to to place in a 3d scene so um i'm gonna load that guy just give me one second i know but uh it's so fast i want to finish this guy you know well maybe they can focus on the word i know

  18. 00:13:57

oh it's loading it's loading you see i will have time working in eevee it's always combining shaders so it's like a game engine but in blender and i want to show it live so and i think it's gonna be pretty cool i'm gonna i'm gonna have like a character also for this guy oh look at that bam two senses it's it's pretty cool look at that okay uh yeah

  19. 00:14:44

so for this guy here i had the this request of like placing a bat up that was the that was really interesting uh if we go here you see this it's my it's my main uh asset kits i made and now i can place it like where wherever i want and create a camera angle and let's uh let's bring those other angle we got like this guy for instance

  20. 00:15:36

exploring also different light scheme that was pretty nice too that that one is that's the one from the concept we use that was different a light angle different temperature you see how much just the light temperature alone you change the scene yeah it's a i i wish i i had time to make like uh many variations for this guy but oops so yeah but the yellow one is pretty cool too i mean

  21. 00:16:25

don't do that to yourself can we manage your expectations my friend don't do that to yourself continue okay uh yeah i'm gonna bring uh i'm gonna bring a character on this guy that's what it was missing i think and after i'm gonna explain a bit what i'm doing in photoshop to bring that guy to the final um let me find my character uh yes i'm on a shure sm7b this is my uh my uh personal stuff see that's where we differ kimmy i don't

  22. 00:17:15

think it's a good conversation if it hurts people's expectations if it artificially blows up expectations the point where they can't be met i don't think that's a good combo remember that i am the killer hold on they're real remember expect hype are the expectations killer hype is the little death that destroys all reasonable uh uh feelings about things do not let your hype get away from you who's calling me right now i don't have time for this let's go back to this nope wrong scene it's loaded

  23. 00:18:13

so let's bring a character in it i think that's if we place that guy here oh man it's in the ground yeah okay let's adjust that guy so yeah we got like this character man that's

  24. 00:19:01

that's whoa there we go you see that character jared it's you ass so now we we have you in every concept dude like when we place it well we got this so it's adding a lot man [Music] dear did you get a face again i got a

  25. 00:19:56

face scan a couple years ago nobody involved in doing it is actually still with the company so it's thankfully just dead i wonder but nobody knows where it is so when when i got this uh this guy uh ready for uh painting um what i'm gonna do it's i already showed a bit of the process but uh i think it's it's interesting to see uh because we push we push a lot a lot in in 3d so it give us like a lot of flexibilities to uh

  26. 00:20:46

to work to uh or render and having maybe a less less portion of paint but we get like a lot of blocking made already and it speed up a bit the process so what i'm doing here it's coating a bit my render with some painting i'm gonna make a bit of adjustment you know this guy this guy here adding some texture some foreground elements adjustment another pass of coating

  27. 00:21:37

finalizing the image so we got our or key art ready pretty straightforward all the time we pass on on creating those assets pay a lot in term of uh of speeding the process and i mean that's that's the key of uh for workflow at the moment so we we had those this arctic uh uh key heart when i was exploring those uh negative value and stuff like this

  28. 00:22:27

it was really interesting because i repeat that here same scene that's a declination of this guy here i can do the process of this guy too it's really cool thanks so we're going to make something new today what are we doing can you make an image from can you like start from baron and create a new piece of key art that's what we're gonna do so i'm gonna need to reframe this a

  29. 00:23:16

little bit give me a second here i was punched in a bit so we could see some that's it like this there we go just to show a bit the other uh the other key key heart we had we had this guy that's that's that's guy was really an overview of the scene and we we had like uh we wanted to see a big a big a bit more of the surrounding and stuff like this so and this guy here is one of my favorite

  30. 00:24:05

i think it was shown before uh in one of i don't remember which which video but and this guy is really inspired by the the whole the greek runes uh it's i think it was pretty interesting to do uh we had a lot of uh of inspiration for for this guy and it's pretty fresh i mean imagine if you have like a spaceship coming here landing there bob same with this guy boreal effect like with the vegetation overgrown same with this guy let's create something

  31. 00:24:57

i'm gonna grab this guy uh to answer the question uh hubo uh he's basically showing how you can use this the same kit pieces and everything to create uh derelicts that work in multiple biomes multiple environments it's like that so that's why they some of these look familiar because that's that's specifically the point yep pretty much it with uh it's like those uh the the the like those arguments you see on uh on uh twitter sometimes

  32. 00:25:44

i see arguments about how in the new horizon game they reuse some of the animations from the authorizing game and people are like shaking their fists at the game like oh how dare you reuse the climbing animation and it's like it's like oh my gosh half the half the reason any of these games are performative at at all is because of the smart reuse of of assets and different in different environments and different situations and stuff so when we build when we build a an outpost or or or anything like that it's it's important that they are modular enough that they can be used in a variety of situations uh so that they don't have to so they don't have to be in a game where you can take off from one planet and travel to another planet

  33. 00:26:31

and go down to another planet all without loading screens it's important to find as many of those resource uh equivalences as possible it's it's the what's the phrase it's work smarter not harder kind of thing yeah we've we've got plenty that we have to build uh if if if we can start if we can find the places to use things in multiple in multiple uh uh situations that's uh that's how we're gonna win yeah and even in concept i mean we we have to think about it also when we have the mandate to create like different uh biome it's like we need that philosophy because uh it's it's a i mean it's a lot of work to recreate that all the time this different thing so

  34. 00:27:21

you speed up a bit the process are you are you back to drawing pierre luke now yeah i always getting back to it i don't know just maybe a little batch here like my name is bl if you people that though that's too close a few people out there and keep still asking when it's 3 17. i will turn this patch around and i will take us home i'll do it don't test me all right uh really solidly fingers crossed for today

  35. 00:28:11

that that's not me saying it's going to be today just that everybody here is really hoping it's going to be today all right so what did what was this you that you're just loading up here yeah that's it's always a a matter of compiling shaders like whoa boom so now we are in i like this i like this like temperate like tundra location yes we're gonna we're gonna make we're gonna make something with that guy every time you do something in sand or

  36. 00:28:59

desert or whatever people are like star wars yeah like that's pretty sure we could put the chrysler building in the middle of the sahara desert and people would be like star it's i mean yeah it's a big influence for a lot of kids you know so let's let's go and have some fun with maybe a close-up or something like that you see how i'm sloppy you know i'm just placing that here well for something like concept art is

  37. 00:29:48

only going to be seen from one hand so those buildings floating but yeah keep that secret fatim uh the colonialism outposts were are created were created as part of our work for the pyro system but that does not mean that they will only be found in pyro if that makes sense pyro the work for pyro may have been the inspiration and the and the start of the work for us but there is nothing to say settlers in the outskirts of damar or yila can't buy their same homesteads from the same company as the

  38. 00:30:36

original settlers and pyro did oh let's let's go and go here i'm gonna move your face down below yeah i can let's add a camera let's use maybe long shadows i've been told that the kids are having fun the man

  39. 00:31:23

here luke hello jared kamasava let me switch the scene so people can see you wave to the people hello folks i'm there to reply to fred's uh i've been told that heads is having fun with my uh with my silhouette only during the loading screens okay wasn't that bad so for people who have either this is their first episode or they've just never seen something you've been in before pierre luke tell them who you are oh um it's a tricky one um i'm the montreal art director i'm

  40. 00:32:10

basically i have i'm having two roles here um i'm co founder of the montreal gaming team here at tribulation virgil and i'm co are directing the entire pu with with my with my brothers from the other side of the sea in leyland so i do both of them i was like the first signature with guillaume montreal and we just started this a year and a half ago and now we're part of the family but the best thing i did was to hire fred that was the best thing i did until today he's gonna regret it oh my god

  41. 00:32:57

it's it's pure love man uh uh someone in uh the twitch chat uh luca lemon says don't you mean to hire me yeah luka joined the team like um a month ago it's an amazing guy or two we're always looking for new new new people here um so if you want to join us because she's the she's the go-to girl to go but yes we have a huge french community and i heard jared you you learned french like for the past 25 minutes something like so we used 25 minutes

  42. 00:33:48

so we we can just go on how many uh how uh how many folks are in the montreal studio now pierre lucas oh the entire chocolate team is on on on the pul game dev team or the entire tribulation ah and we're a big yeah the nice the game dev team the the the team working for star citizen uh we have gsc we have like uh platform two but the the pul team the in-game team were uh 47 strong wow yeah it's not bad for a year and a half that was a lot of dedication i would say but the best thing i did was to

  43. 00:34:40

hire luca and the second best thing i did this to i heard am i correct this time that's i think that's better and we're gonna we're gonna get a chance to meet uh some more of the uh manchester team uh not manchester united the montreal team uh next week in isc uh we are the episode is uh entirely tools themed we're calling it the tools time episode and we're going to meet the uh the manchester tools team uh manchester united keep saying that montreal too many m's to montreal tools team montreal tools teams and take and take a look at who they are and what they do and uh uh look at their most recent achievement the mighty bridge the mighty bridge the nike bridge you can find some uh

  44. 00:35:28

of what the the fantastic work that they've done um over the here and they're on the tubular website uh and yes uh we're pretty proud um we're pretty happy to have them on board and we're pretty proud of what they accomplished so far can't wait for you guys to to see that next week next week right uh xff or xsf if you're still here you're not an airport you don't have to announce your departure it's cool so what are you doing right now fred yeah so i i'm going to start making some paint over on this on the surrender just looking for a good picture at the

  45. 00:36:16

moment to announce this guy yeah but that's so brilliant not only uh the game dev team it's a big big and nice big family contributing to the project on multiple level ed and i are in one part of that family but there's a bunch of them and they may be listening so i could do some shout out to amanda and stuff like that and uh hello amanda so talk us through this fred because on the screen right now just it just looks like you're frozen oh it's true

  46. 00:37:04

i'm looking at some picture at the moment that i'm gonna bring into my painting like this guy here okay i'm gonna start that so because i'm working on uh my scentic here that's probably gonna we're gonna have like a just a screen like the viewport i'm gonna i'm gonna switch out uh does cig have any gamescom plans for august i don't know

  47. 00:37:51

i i can tell you me personally i'd love to go uh it's gonna it's pro like again i'm only speaking for myself but it's probably gonna be like a closer to a game time decision like it's to depend on how safe the world feels whether i how comfortable i feel uh being at the largest video game convention in the entire world this year so gamescom was always my favorite though so i'd love to go but that's it'll be a call i'll make a little closer to the uh since we start that here in montreal we no physical gamescon yet so i don't know the experience it just quite special i heard and fun

  48. 00:38:40

yeah no gamescom was always my favorite it's just i don't really know what it is part of it is cologne part of it is just how much i enjoy uh the the the city of uh kong in germany but it's also a really good facility and lots of cool places around and it's nice and central or okay not really central but it's it's it's easily accessible for a lot of europe so you get to you get to meet a lot of european fans there you know people come from france and amsterdam and and belgium and england and italy and stuff so it's it's kind of like a nice one-stop shop for meeting a lot of our european fans

  49. 00:39:28

which i really enjoy nice can you imagine organizing one in montreal and then you can meet your toronto friends wine around their friends quebec city friends i'm not entirely donald trump the stuff i see about montreal the way you talk about montreal it seems a little too good to be true so i'm not entirely convinced it's a real place the two weeks of summer that we have yeah it is fantastic but you need to choose your time wisely just hearing you mumble under your

  50. 00:40:19

breath fred just taking and speaking loudly not so loudly but i'm just just trying some stuff let's see citizencon xiaowinigan no offense to showing again it's a fantastic region but it's a bit outside of montreal i think i'm gonna rotate that yeah here that's i think the light side could be even interesting i'm just going back pierre luke right now in the game

  51. 00:41:12

we don't really have a planet that would seem to just outright match this particular a biome do you do you have something in mind for this like like this kind of tundra this temperate kind of stuff is is there a planet in the pyro system that may have a biome that looks like this there's many of surprises that is already created for pyro and yes we do have like many many biomes already created and ready to go um with the rooms outpost you which from our beloved co-workers in in manchester with ian like joel did amazing thing so to answer your question

  52. 00:42:02

bluntly quickly and correctly the answer is yes so you're saying that pyro may not just be the barren molten wasteland the entire way through and through that some folks have been expecting i'll let you answer that one i'll let you answer that one but eh yes yes indeed no it's gonna be there's already the folks in manchester the team of artists under ian and eddie's and nickitridge are doing fantastic work with josh all those folks um and montreal are focusing on something else right now but i have an overview of what they're doing and yes is it exciting and

  53. 00:42:51

promising and many many parts of it is already produced and exciting times for sure but here in montreal we we ramp up we we did some tests with the javelin or excites and then we start on the hospital and build a team that that was part of demand that but now we're on multiple topics like like the derelicts systemic derelicts that's gonna be everywhere i know there there was a end of different spaceship that we we produce on some twitter accounts um so in that and with other topics with the tools and with the gameplay team we

  54. 00:43:40

were producing we were producing nice missions here and there i can't say much but um we we we all be we always we try to be a multi men we not try we we are a multi-disciplinary team that want to create like some clay army kind of gameplay and estate and location with the yelp of the bush of franceberry that's that's my uh my surname that's all right [ __ ] you're good dude i try try some time it's happened but uh i don't wanna i don't want to look in the chat i feel like i'm i'm being roast is there a feeling

  55. 00:44:34

yeah don't don't uh the road to pyro the path the pyro the path the 4.0 that i don't i don't know that it has a i don't know that it has a a formalized name or anything like that guys don't don't jump on the utterances of myself on shows a little this quite so literally we are definitely heading towards 4.0 i mean we got through the 3.7 stop we got three point eight teams three point seventeen stop we got the three point eighteen stop i'm not in charge of the marketing slogans let's bring that guy in i just like alliteration

  56. 00:45:24

our beloved sean jump it who deserve attention and he's begging on attention on our personal chat so let's take some time to say hi to sean what is he saying you say that he's talking to us but we we are ignoring him you see there are people in chat right now that are trying to equate the 319 as 4.0 and they don't remember people who have been here forever people have been here for the long haul can remember when todd pappy was on scl and invented a 2.7 patch and what not when it when it when there was no 2.7 patch it went from 2.6 to 2.63 to 3.0 there's really no

  57. 00:46:13

basically the answer doesn't exist until we get there folks whether there's a 319 or whether it's a 4.0 or whether it's a 320 and then there's a 4.0 or whatever it it depends on how development progresses so you sit here and you're trying to read stuff into it right now they're you're you're just hurting yourselves so what i'm saying is 318 is 4.0 no there's no wind so it's moving on remember the only constant in game development is change show me the meaning of being lonely

  58. 00:47:14

that's music to my ear i heard you were drawing and making fun of my silhouette and i'm coming in and i did i yeah i'm coming in and i did inside oh oh oh beautiful beautiful yeah that's yeah always i i saw it enough thank you see going back and forth so people can compare oh yeah let's put a glass of wine right here it's friday that's true it's guillaume it mostly looks like guillaume

  59. 00:48:02

look no man this is the shape of guillaume more than mine i'm not gonna talk about shape of people i i'm just gonna draw some like little doodle here it's just why are you back on the doodle we're not loading anything oh sh that's true i i forget that i was doing like uh damn let's be serious sorry guys let's let's adjust that guy here i'll let you finish that show guys i just can i shut out a bit of a of the community here jared in french sure here you go

  60. 00:48:50

you can't your camera's on um just want to reassure that we we we feel the love and the support well always reading or commented feedback on a restrictive way dracco all of those folks can't wait to see you at the montreal bar citizen soon and um send us some constructive feedback we're we're always listening to it voila and i am a dunk yeah bye bye guys have fun is he gone oh yes

  61. 00:49:42

hamburgers are the perfect meal bionukes hamburgers i've tried uh uh eight different hamburger places here in manchester so far so far the best is is by far a place called honest burger plushie jared's when i'm plushy enough guy here water maybe i'm trying to soft brush this guy

  62. 00:50:41

yeah i found out five guys uh on other trips i've eaten five guys over here you can absolutely buy a 600i for your 21st birthday a gamer from space you just might have to wait for iae or whatever to do it uh are the new cig offices near the factory just being built the city offices were actually in the background

  63. 00:51:29

like you could you actually see the building in the shot from ise reflection here bob 3.7 win dextrin that was a while back that is some very impressive layering fred naming convention

  64. 00:52:17

really powerful like this layer one but no no no no no no no no not not the naming oh the actual layering oh wait okay but the masking in there tell me the chat says this guy with photoshop is why i have trust issues yeah pretty much sorry i'm getting together why are you working so small like like

  65. 00:53:09

yeah this whole thing doesn't work you work how you want to work man i'm yeah sometimes i'm just i i just put that as a thumbnails you know it's just like like this and i'm just is this a swamp for ants making everybody watching the stream on their phone like hold their phone three centimeters from their eyes but you see that

  66. 00:54:02

you know the building assets all this uh this stuff like before it's so useful because in in that time i i just have to place another camera and get another angle and we're we're ready to create another variation of concept it's so cool i mean i i really like to work that way because give us so much flexibility it's take a bit longer time at the beginning but the aftermath it's like light years from what was doing before like drawing and always doing everything in 2d it was taking years now it's like super powerful

  67. 00:54:54

just that guy yeah i'm gonna do this here for a second for the people who were watching yesterday's isc here this this building right here with the with the gray and then the little the dark gray on the top two floors this is the new build this is the new office right here so the new office is uh this is the seventh floor we have the the top of the light gray and then the eighth and the ninth which is the dark gray up there the the entire floor of the entire building and this is a this is a theater this is like a performing arts center that they're also building i mean it's not ours it's but that's what's in front of it right now this this is the office right here

  68. 00:55:56

where's my office i i i i just get a desk i don't get an office but i don't know where it is actually we haven't we haven't actually i haven't actually uh worked that out with the office people yet walk to work daily i've walked to work uh my entire time that i've worked here uh raqqa i always live close enough to the office to walk i don't enjoy commuting i'm curmudgeonly enough as it is without getting put into an even worse mood by traffic final adjustment

  69. 00:56:57

i think we're gonna be pretty close to another concept let's try adding a bit of uh i am working from home right now matt look we just did the whole thing i'm in here in my home there you go

  70. 00:57:49

did you mirror it when i wasn't looking you did this last time too yeah i know why why do you work in one orientation then mirror it at the very end uh it's just i don't know it's just my brain is [ __ ] up what does that say about that euphrates i know i know but no it's just sometimes it's it's just helped to uh you know refresh a bit your brain because you're working always in the same direction and it's it's validating some uh i don't know it's refreshing i will i would not say anything more i think you just have brain problems i know i know it's that bad but i'm uh i'm able to draw you know it's like

  71. 00:58:41

it's one or the other no flipping it's all right but i i'm sad i i will have to finish this i think yeah yeah that's uh it's it was uh colonism uh derelict one of the biomes of one of the planets of the pirates yeah eventually uh that could be that that guy for we don't know i don't know but i hope we're gonna see it like here soon it's it's it's pretty cool to uh to see that and i saw like a bit of what the guy is doing at the moment with the

  72. 00:59:28

with all these and uh it's pretty cool where where's my person do we have time all right so thanks folks nope you just it's i was gonna i was gonna if you were gonna start doing it i was just gonna pull it away from the thing anyway i exist in too many places outside of the game universe the game the game universe is the one aspect of star citizen where i promise you will never ever find me now outside of the game universe i'm sorry that you can't get away from me it is what it is thanks fred thanks for taking your time

  74. 01:01:09

talking to tools programmers for the entire episode it's it's the kind of show that nobody else would ever do like ea or activision or or sony they would never ever do a program on tools programmers and that's why i'm so excited about it because it's an aspect of game development you guys aren't going to see covered anywhere else and then back here next friday um the guest just canceled so i have to actually find a new person for next friday i just remembered it was what so i don't know who's going to be on next friday we're going to find out that's fred i'm jared uh that was pierre luke uh take care everybody and uh we'll see you next week bye
