[Music] Hey everyone, Tyler Nolan here to welcome you to another episode of Citizens of the Stars, our weekly look at some of the amazing content submitted by you, our Star Citizen backers. Now, let's not waste any time and see who Tyler Wickens speaking with for this week's Citizen Spotlight. Hey everyone and welcome to another installment of Citizen Spotlight, where we take a moment to highlight some of the incredible content creators in the Star Citizen community. Now, joining us this week is none other than Old School. Old School, how are you doing? I'm doing great, man. How are you? I'm doing great also. So, why don't you tell us what it is that you've been creating? Well, I've been doing uh the

  2. 00:01:04

Citizens. It's a web comic that makes fun of all the bugs and glitchs and all that stuff in Star Citizen. Love it. Now, why did you decide to start making Star Citizen comics? Yeah, I've been wanting to create something like this for some time, actually, even before the new camera controls came out. I even started messing around with the Cry Engine to see if I could uh create some scenes, you know, but uh I never got the thing to work with the Star Citizen assets and also uh when the new camera controls came out, I thought, "Hey, man, that's my cue." Now, have you done anything like this before? Yeah, I had a web comic on video games for some time. It was called uh Game G. Stopped updating it a long long time ago. It was a hand draw, not the screenshotty stuff that I do for uh Star Citizen. I stopped

  3. 00:01:56

stopped it because I was playing too much Star Citizen at the time. Understandable. Last question. Do you have any plans to continue doing more comics? Oh, yeah. Of course I do. You know, uh the Citizens, it's not just about the bugs. It's about the uh overall gameplay experience. I think there will be a lot of situations that I could use once uh the game is released. I intend to keep uh updating the citizens for uh quite some time actually. You guys are not going to get rid of me this easily. All right. Well, thank you so much for taking the time and chatting with me. Go ahead and plug your stuff. Thank you. You can uh see all the comics of course on the website the citizenscomic.com and you can reach me on Facebook on uh facebook.com/thecitizenscomic. See you. See you later, old school. Well, that's all for this week. Make sure to tune in

  4. 00:02:45

next Monday to find out who we're going to be chatting with. But for now, let's find out what's going on this week in Star Citizen. Hey everybody, I'm Ben Lesnik, director of community engagement here at Cloud Imperium Games, and I am here for this week's episode of Quantum Questions, part of our show where we take a real CI developer and ask them your questions with one little catch they have to answer in under two minutes. Joining us this week is CIG's junior council and one of the finest fighter pilots I've ever had the honor to fly with, Mr.

  5. 00:03:33

Steven Toast Cam. Hey, Toast. How you doing today? Hey Ben, thanks for the intro. Are you ready to answer some quantum questions? Uh, I'm kind of dreading this actually, but let's go for it. How many of them do you think you're going to get? Um, not very many. Uh, when you ask a lawyer a question, you usually get one of three answers, and the only short answer you're going to get is no. The other two are either it depends or yes, but which are both long. So, not very many. All right, let's get the time on the clock and go. What is your name and what do you do? I'm Steven Cam. I'm our junior council here at Can we start over? I'm our junior counsel here at Cloud Imperium Games and I work under the legal department assisting pretty much every other department with the legal

  6. 00:04:20

aspects of their jobs. How many lawyer jokes are there? Um, that depends. At least three. There are many more than that. Um, but there's probably some element to truth most of them. What do you do for CIG besides lawyering? Um, that's mostly it. Uh, it's a support job. Almost every other department when they're doing a job needs some legal support. So, there's, uh, copy editing and copyright notices for most of the content that goes on the website. Uh, every once in a while, uh, HR has an issue, uh, involving employment or immigration or something like that, and there's a legal component to that, too. Uh sometimes player relations or community has questions and uh very occasionally a CS ticket. So everything usually involves some aspect of legal somewhere. What is the weight of the Rari? Oh wait, hold on. I don't

  7. 00:05:09

know the weight of the Rari, but there's one other aspect of the job. Uh that's also a lot of fun for me. Um every once in a while I get asked uh a question about ship ideas and I offer them. Nobody has to take them, but it's great fun for me. How often do you play Star Citizen yourself per week? Uh, there's no good answer on a per week basis because every week is different. When I get a chance to play, sometimes I'll binge. If I had to take an average, I'd say about three, which is either a lot or not very much, depending on who you ask. What's your favorite piece of company swag? I am wearing it or actually wearing two of them. One of them is the Polaris shirt and the other is the Star Citizen track jacket. Uh, love them both. Wear them. I should probably wash them more. Why have scientists replaced all their lab

  8. 00:05:57

rats with lawyers? Because there are some things that lab rats just won't do. When you sleep and dream about work, is it about playing Star Citizen or All right. Well, thank you very much. Okay. Good job. Well, let's go over to Subconscious with Alexis. Hello everybody. I'm Alexis and I'd like to welcome you to Subconscious, the only Star Citizen mini show that tells you what's for dinner. To start, we'll be serving you a delicious town hall with a side of props team. The team behind all of Star Citizen's awesome objects will be answering your questions live tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Pacific. Everyone can watch, but only subscribers can ask

  9. 00:06:45

questions in the subscribers chat channel on Spectrum. The main course tonight is our next subscriber flare item. This week, we're serving the juiciest possible cut of holographic space station. Check your hangers on Friday to see the IMS Bolivar, a station in the soul system. For dessert, we suggest a delicious caterpillar. The Drake Caterpillar is the subscriber ship of the month for June, which means everyone with a subscription has free access to test it out in the verse. M caterpillar. And what's this with the check? A refreshing after-dinner jump point. The next issue is coming next Friday, and it'll be taking a hard look at thrusters. Until next time, this is Alexis saying bone appetit. I'll see you in the den. Hey everybody, Jared Huckabe here with this week's top five and MVP. Let's get to it. Number five, Vandal portrait

  10. 00:07:33

by Btate 29. Now, this is an original artwork of the Vanuel Menace using graphite pencils in Photoshop, and it's a delightful image I forwarded onto our character team here in LA. So, good job, Ben. Number four, the UEMC Star Carrier by SolarMoot. Now, a couple people have discovered you can land ships on top of the Starfare recently and take them into quantum travel. And this is a tongue-in-cheek look at the Starfare acting as a carrier for an Avenger Titan renegade. Now, I chose this one specifically for its exceptional use of not only a journey cover, but the piano theme from the Incredible Hulk series starring Bill Bixe. That's always going to work on disco. Number three, Three Merlin and a Starfare by Backbone. Now, one of the most common questions we get is, "Will this fit in that?" And the answer is always the same. Just because it fits doesn't mean you can actually use it like that. And to keep with the

  11. 00:08:21

Starfare as a carrier theme, here's a video of three Merlin in the Bay of a Starfare launching them to complete ICC missions. Will it fit? Well, I guess that might be up to you guys after all. Number two, Pedro. Yes, Pedro Kamacho is the Star Citizen composer, and recently he shared some new music on Twitter last week. So, now I'm going to shut up. so we can listen to it. And number one in this week's MVP is Adrian SC Center and Stargazer, a complete astronomical encyclopedia of our star map. Now, Stargazer is a five module system that explores the details of the Star Citizen universe with encyclopedia pages, explorer diagrams, finder spreadsheets, universal

  12. 00:09:10

statistics, and astronomical tags. It's fairly comprehensive and another fantastic example of what the Star Citizen community can create. So, congratulations, Adrian. You're this week's MVP. Back to you, Tyler. Well, that's all for this week's show. A big thanks to Toast and Old School for being on the show. And don't forget, if you want a chance of having your own content being featured on future episodes, you can submit them on the community hub on our website. I'll see you in the verse. Thank you for watching. So, if you want to keep up with the latest and greatest in Star Citizen and Squadron 42's development, please follow us on our social media channels. See you soon.
