cheers I started drinking because I feel like I'm going to need to for this panel just so you guys know Chris and Tony are still talking about edge cases on that uh money thing yeah good question it is a good question all right so welcome to the game ideas Forum I'm gonna put down my booze now game forum it's temporary don't worry game forum anyway so it's not really a forum sorry it's an elevator pitch anybody know what an elevator pitch is of course you do no you got 90 seconds to make your
- 00:01:10
case I wish I had a Gong man I totally forgot to get a Gong anyway you got 90 seconds to make your pitch you will be judged we are judgy uh by the panel and by the audience uh when we like what we hear we all of us the panel is going to ask for more information about your idea uh that being said we're still only going to spend a few minutes on each topic um and what are we pitching like actual separate games I don't know what they're pitching things in Star that's why this is fun is it pitching things to be in star or pitching things is a separate I'm hoping that people are going to pitch things for inclusion and Star Citizen right really that pokon hey Jason pitch a Pokemon game can can you
- 00:02:02
be mean about the typo on the screen no what typo what typo or oh oh right that's funny so I did this at like 2:00 in the morning and uh I was going to say can and I was waffling between can and may because that's fun so yes I'm allowed to be mean and yes I'm may be mean because somebody has to be I'm a producer that's what we do we get to be mean he's the hammer anyway H uh let's start on this side do we have anybody lined up for questions over here no then we're going to start on this side because we actually have people lined up personally I'm just looking for the
- 00:02:50
gong sound of play but yeah no I I'll just talk over whoever's talking anyway you got 90 seconds so go okay concerning death of a Spaceman I was thinking at time of character creation you could also create your benefactor so you can take pictures with them you know so that after you die they can you know post them on spaceships and so on so forth and show the connection that you have and then as you evolve and grow either your family or your context and more people die kind of add them to more photos you know and just kind of go back in time to take those pictures to show those connections God that's sad that's awesome that was less than 90 seconds makes me want to cry just a quick a quick clarification you're talking about creating what your
- 00:03:39
um uh basically benefact uh beneficiary looks like when you create your original character yeah so this is fun I guess Chris likes the idea it could either I'm I'm asking a question it's not it could either be at the or you could just start taking photos after you know you die and just be able to pull up any of your previous characters and throw them into the photo op oh yeah yeah no no that that's a that's a good idea yeah no definitely you you actually want to have a sense of uh history of like you know all your characters and you know cuz it should be like you know a family or something like you know your great great-grandfather served in this war and and you know his his you know his son served in this war and stuff like that well that actually seems like another interesting way to
- 00:04:25
customize the hanger in regards to putting out like display cases that actually have like you know great grandfather grandfather y y y you can click on each one and you basically get the highlights of their life oh you know served in this war killed in gloriously you know when he forgot to load his you know yep I want a cryp my good stuff next so I think that one went well there you go like that was a good pitch beautiful go my's well I'm still hoping Chris comes around regarding trading rare fish in lie of that uh if need be could we have a just kidding in in Li of that if need be could we have a uh the level of fidelity we have in a lot of other facets of the game apply to what could be like the most customizable aspect of hanger decorations the fish tank could we have
- 00:05:14
like a instead of inviting your friends over to see your fish tank and you're like look at all the wonderful places I've been and then there's hundreds of fish that don't belong together ass to nose drowning and starving cuz there's no room for them all but you could have like a number of different fish tanks like this is salt water this is fresh water I actually have fish that belong in here instead of instead of having fish your time is up I'm sorry so panel wait a minute I like that one you like we got thumbs up from the panel you want to hear more no thumbs down well kind of it just Star Citizen 202 audience what do you say you want to hear more yeah next so all right so you guys haven't
- 00:06:03
really uh given us any information about the way that players will interact with the NPC organizations uh but one thing I'd like to see especially with uh pirate packs and uh more nefarious organizations is uh as players gain influence in the organization possibly exerting some sort of form of control um potentially political like say um like for instance if I'm on a certain pirate pack and I attack a member of another pirate pack because I'm more influential in pirate pack a they might might start a mini war between the two pirate packs nice and brief p i I think we didn't quite all right so couldn't hear it let's hear a little bit more okay as players gain influence in their in NPC organizations they potentially influence
- 00:06:50
the the politics between the the NPC organizations themselves so as again for the example if I'm have high influence in an PC pirate pack and I attack member of another pirate pack that may precipitate a war between the pirate packs so well you're you're so you're saying that you're you're part of a a pirate group and you're a very high standing of them and then because you are part of that pirate pack and you attack another NPC pirate pack you would um have the enemy the other Pirro uh group or whatever um attack the one that you're a part of because because they've been attack right I I'm not particularly saying go to war with these people but because I have higher influence in an in organization it might
- 00:07:39
uh precipitate the politics between those two organizations you are you saying you're influencing the the pirate group you're a member of or just because you attacked this other pirate member they came and attacked your group back yeah it would probably be a little more loose than than actually controlling correct me if I'm wrong but I think he's saying that given his stature within his group that it makes it you know more of an issue when you attack a member of that other group such that they're more likely to respond right uh yeah okay but I think that's kind of what we already have because that's the how the reputation system already is well I'm not going to say already works that way but that's the design of it is that you you have a reputation that's not just your own one but also the the kind of associations you have and then so therefore if I'm a member of whatever the you know pirate pack one and I go
- 00:08:29
and attack some other group I'm doing it as me and also as a member of parrot pacan so therefore there'll be hostility between that other group against parrot pwan but but he's saying the extent of their retaliation would scale according to your standing within your pirate group in other words if my group is a thousand strong and I am you know lead and I'm I'm the low guy and I do it it's probably nonissue but if I'm you know number one on the list then all that's it they you know they're going to war seems reasonable to me I no i' agree it's it seems reasonable to scale it I wouldn't you know but it's but it's purely a factor of how much you do it it's like you know when you're talking about organizations with 100 or 500 a th000 players it's kind of like the economic simulator you don't want one player to ever be able to you know cause two gargantuan organizations to go to war and so it may it may scale it may
- 00:09:18
become two three five times you know as you know as significant as a lower ranking member I would say your ranking probably is a multiplier on um kind of a uh the reput adjustment when things happen yeah so the higher ranked you are then like instead of you know making you know adding two hostility points it adds six hostility points on the on the reputation that's good stuff Jake's going to write that up for us beautiful thanks guys next you're welcome Hey guys hey guys uh I have a question we're recording sorry go thanks I had a question kind of an idea about uh I remember reading or seeing on a cross the verst or tin for the chairman or one of the other Thousand Ways yall communicate with us about if you have multiple game packages you're you're
- 00:10:05
going to have multiple Tunes or characters and you could choose like all right if this is my main character maybe this other one's in NPC or you may choose to play it I always thought it'd be cool if you could do both so if I have two game packages and I have Han Solo and Chewbacca if I'm playing Han Solo then chewy can be my NPC crewman or vice versa maybe I'm playing chewy he's more of a Melee character and that's the mood I'm in well Han Solo my pilot can be my NPC yeah yeah no I actually the conception of the design would be that you can specify your characters and the ones that you aren't doing you could have as NPCs or you could control but you're not limited like Han Solo is not always NPC what's that and like no no no no no no no the the conception of the design was that uh like say I've got five characters right and i' I've you know I've got hanel with chachro you
- 00:10:55
know bluk Skywalker and Princess leer and C3PO whatever um I could play any one of those I can have any one of my friends play the other ones or I can have them operate as NPCs so that's what's that many how how many I'm not going to tell you how many total we don't know so we we haven't ascertained how many actual players we can get in one instance yet also do you own an Idis well yeah no we want to get as many people as possible no just we just have a lot of uh that's a process we're going through right now is optimization on the game on the game server side and the characters you're running so we can get as many people as many ships in an instance as possible but uh you know
- 00:11:44
it's a it's a pretty big um ongoing optimization job yeah there's been a lot of talk about anyway anyway I'm assuming that what I said was what you wanted right no I think so sounds right yep so good good idea good pitch it's what we're doing next chewy chewy and Han I like that I like the softballs we're getting so far by the way thanks next all right so if we as players discover a new solar system through a discover jump point for example and we find a Planet that's maybe in a habitable zone could we as players establish our own settlements or colonies and have other players or even NPCs come and build that out you know grow that out over time and the years progress what do you think panel you
- 00:12:32
want to hear more about that uh well yeah I mean well we talked about this I mean this is actually this is a this will be a longer term thing on the game it wouldn't be at the beginning but we definitely want to I mean part of the IDE long-term plan is to have uh you know more procedural exploration so we add more systems that we generate Landing zones that you could go and land on and then at some point uh one way to really add game content is you know you start a colony and then you know there's all sorts of missions to bring in um you know the basic materials for the colony and build it up and so you sort of make that a player and NPC thing so we we'd probably start small and basically have content I'm not promising we're doing it no no no I I understand no but but I'm just saying we we'd start small in regards to before you actually get to the point to where you can actually
- 00:13:19
establish your own col and build something up from scratch you would probably have the ability to be able to you know seize control of something that exists within the game that we've constructed and basically operate it basically you know uh manipulate the levers to basically you know uh maximize production or whatever that you know particular you know production node does um and then once we've got all of that functionality refined working Etc then we would move on logically to allowing you to actually build these things out of scratch which would require you know more interface work you know more you know backend logic just you know it's this this whole game it's just well are we talking about I because I'm not talking about making it a uh you know like a Sim City where you're like oh I place this building down here and I place no no I'm just talking about nodes right right no I I so I mean I would say
- 00:14:10
that like longer term that it that's basically one of sort of if you want to call it an endgame style gaml where we're deliberately going to have parts of the game that players will work together to take over to defend to build up so you know we've already mentioned space stations and asteroid bases they're two examples of places that players can take over or they would defend um you know and know building out a colony in the future would be a place that you would build up uh earlier version of that would be building up an economic node so you get you know take over this small little weapons Factory and you can build it up into one that produces you know five times as much stuff but you need to make sure you got demand you need to make sure you got the equipment you need to make sure you got the the employes to do that yeah and then there's a whole slew of information that we would need to provide you behind
- 00:14:57
the scenes and levers we' need to to give you to operate to actually make that you know uh not only you know an enjoyable experience but one to where you know better players you know uh do better than other ones um because you know they're more Adept they've practiced more um you know uh they've got better Insight they they're paying more attention to what's going on around the system next all right so yes I think yes there you go beautiful okay well my question is 90% answered from the prior gentleman's question but uh regarding uh the shared NPCs that you have on multiple accounts um there's been terms thrown around on the Forum Called Agent smithing where people will be able to come and assist you when your NPC is uh are not quite up to Snuff and explaining the mechanic of when uh a fellow friend or org mate can
- 00:15:47
Agent Smith one of your NPCs to give you better control in certain parts and aspects of fighting and if you do decide to do that make sure you make the cool graphic animation I'm going blah as he forms in wow I love that that sounds great actually CR engine already has that as a Shader don't they yeah I think could do it it's an interesting concept no no we did that's the plan the plan the plan is that your friends can take out I mean that's what mentioned but like in like just take it over from an NPC like or a you take over you can only take over the name cat so the the design was that if you've had say uh five game packages you can make every five of them there's five characters basically and any one of
- 00:16:35
those characters like you can play the other ones could be an NPC on your ship or your friends could come in and control basically you can go online and say hey I'm going fly my constellation can you get in and take care of your hand solo and the turret I want you to control them because my NPC hand Sol sucks exactly exactly he shoots early is what I hear so so the only thing I would say is I don't know about the you know uh The Matrix effect when from one yeah face you another way but the rest of it all part of the plan cool sweet thank you awesome next uh I'm going to pitch on player sales uh as it relates to the crafting professions which I imagine are like mining refining aftermarket tuning and salvaging um contemporary MMOs use
- 00:17:24
the auction house which players go to and they look for their item and they look to just Buy the lowest priced item and so crafting becomes a matter of making Stacks so maybe Star Citizen could have scales of imperfection on the items that players sell so if you're salvaging an item and the plasma torch slips out of your hand uh could ruin the Integrity of you know the weapon or an overclock CPU might not be power efficient might be might run too hot um so then when players go into the auction house they look at exactly what kind of imperfection they're getting in the items and they can bid Maybe more accurately maybe I'll buy a bad Cannon and try and repair it or um just try and pay more for that pristine CPU or the the great ore um yeah hey before the panel starts did you
- 00:18:14
guys hear that okay yeah I think I did not hear so here's the funny part earlier no me and Tony didn't hear everything there was a part of the panel where I was going to say there are some things that we have been asked a lot by fans and organizations and backers that we're just not ready to talk about because it's not something we're doing like in the next 12 months kind of thing and crafting is one of those things um because there's a lot of edge cases that we need to figure out right and there's also a lot of Base technology that we need to do before we do it so basically his question was uh for player crafting are there ways we can deal with situations like a player makes an item that is not as good as it could be or makes an item that is perhaps Superior and how we would kind
- 00:19:04
of deal with that in our crafting system so here's the fun part is that I was going to say that there are things that we're just not ready to talk about and that's totally one of them but that was a great idea and I'm glad we recorded it because yeah I'm just I'm I guess I'm trying to I don't know the point I mean we we already have the overclocking stuff where players can overclock items he's just wondering when you when you actually modify them correct me if I'm wrong which overclocking is no no I understand that and then you basically sell them at an auction house if players that are bidding on them could actually you know see the you know basically see the custom modifications which to me seems like something you would certainly be able to do yeah and not only that but like Salvage in general like if you're recovering an item the plasma torch
- 00:19:51
switches it like just you lose the grip or something or you cut the wrong way when you're salvaging I mean one of the I mean you know side of whether you're customizing or crafting stuff I mean one of the big gameplay ideas is that you will go around the universe and um you know basically I mean so the idea is you can't just go to some Global Amazon site and buy any item you want so like typically the best stuff um will be distributed around the Galaxy and some of it will be hard to get uh so you know you may potentially have this one like Planet that's you know out in a very dangerous area of space near Vandal space or something and has some crazy Mad hermit that makes absolutely the best um you know uh ballistic repeater and that thing that ballistic repeaters does 20% more damage than any of the
- 00:20:39
other ballistic repeaters do and takes and you know produces less heat or whatever and so the the concept would be that players would track to you know go there to buy that item or another player could make a business out of going and buying a bunch of items loading them up in his um freelancer or something and flying them back and selling them other players at a premium in Terror somewhere so that's all part of like the the idea or the game design of to to kind of encourage players to travel around the universe and sort of come across things and experience things is you will not be able to just with a you know infinite amount of money sit and order everything online now you could potentially with a lot of money offer to pay other players to go get you stuff uh and I can definitely see there will be commer in that so that's kind of the kind of gaml that we're focusing on and so naturally
- 00:21:28
from from there onwards you know that sort of the you know the additional stuff of overclocking weapons or crafting it or finding a an alien piece of technology and then taking it to another location where a scientist can use that to make it into a special kind of weapon um that's kind of sort of what I think people are thinking about on the crafting side that's kind of what we're thinking about and all that will will happen down the road um in the game thank you are you are you in line you're not in line I I don't think he's in line hey I just wanted to add something to the guy who actually has a microphone um the um one of the things that you mentioned was like if your arc welder slips or whatever there's a bunch of things that we're doing in our gameplay design that
- 00:22:15
is very skill-based like you know uh the way you do the mining and the way you do the Wormhole jumping is all very skill-based and I don't want to say twitch based but you know you need to move the stuff correctly and I think that's definitely part of the the things that we're considering as we're doing these kinds of designs and that's that's good stuff yeah and that's actually a goal across the entire range of you know occupations is basically to com you know eliminate as much as possible the concept of you know press a butt and wait five minutes and something happens it's like that's not fun it's boring um it it opens the game up to all sorts of you know farming exploits and various other things um people like that though but there's games for them yeah yeah not this game but there's just not this one next we don't like farmer all right
- 00:23:03
here it goes Shadows of Mordor has the Nemesis system which gives MPC targets additional responses or attributes based on whether they have been defeated or fled or beat the player in the past kind of like an organic player driven character development system I'm just stopping you now because we're talking about that already you are Nemesis system yeah yeah no no and just and just to be to be clear that was actually when we first uh Shadows of maror does it very well but if you go back and look at when uh we were talking about um you know sort of uh I think it's in Death of a Spaceman actually which was a good year before Mora it actually talked about that which it talked about like specific
- 00:23:50
named NPCs that had their own personal it's the same thing so the basically the the the Nemesis system that you see a midor is kind of what we've been talking about and planning on doing they did a very they did a very nice job of executing it um but we that is sort of the goal that we want for our sort of big boss NPCs in in the game I would like to add to that though not necess like go beyond the Nemesis system and um so say it uh I think starzen is a place where you can expand it to include like if you had a bount if you were chasing a bounty Target they could also negotiate with you and or plead with you and perhaps um if you accept their plead they would open a different a a secret Quest chain or something like that and
- 00:24:40
also if you can apply it to not just targets but also like employ employer NPCs other NPCs well I I I think that I mean Tony can answer a bit more of this because he you know he's actually his background was you writing the AI for Ultima 7 a long time ago he's got a huge amount of AI experience but um our goal is you know like in in in Shadows of mdor they're all Orcs so they basically all want to kill you and there's not really a lot of you know there's not a lot of discussion that goes in in that right it's basically I killed you or you killed me there's a lot of Nemesis they're kind of all Nemesis they just but we we're sort of talking I mean we talked about having uh sort of the idea of meta AI so beyond just you know typical aios games is okay I'm I'm a grunt and I know how to tactically deal
- 00:25:28
with with this situation he's my enemy I I'll start shooting at him I'll duck behind cover um well we you know we've sort of I think we've already talked a little bit about the what we're doing with the AI but you know people have their own they it's not just what they're doing at this instance it's not even what they're doing that day they'll have full like day cycles but it'll be like what the goal is you know I'm a pirate lord and I want to take over this this area of space or something and so um we're having that that concept is on more than just uh someone that you would be in opposition with it could also be a a guy that wants to be a merch an NPC that's a merchant Prince and he's hiring people and so I I think what you're asking for is pretty much what we have in our sort of it's very similar to the conversation yeah we had a while back and basically all the extended email exchanges in regards to doing you know everything we've you know kind of
- 00:26:15
described to date has been you know more MBC logic at a microscopic level and so it sounds like what you're saying and certainly you know what Chris has you know told me you know in the past that he wants is another macroscop component on top of that to where you can have NPC you know concepts of things like you know ambition and greed um and those would effectively allow these you know MPCs to evolve over time and not only that but they would actually understand how to pull levers other than just the simplistic well I'm going to shoot you or I'm going to help you um they would actually understand the value of blockading you know ore from getting to you know to one system because they know that that will cause the assets that they have you know under their control to Skyrocket and value and so it's it's really it's it's a more advanced you
- 00:27:04
know higher level a you know uh MPC AI that will you know inevitably wind up getting bolted onto the low-level stuff that's under de you know that that were developing now that's what I'd like to hear thank you problem thank thanks for bringing up you guys are good stuff [Music] next all out MPC Wars you thought about that all out NPC Wars all out NPC Wars from time to time I thought say all out NPC I thought it was all out NPC dwars DS why not that's a something that would upset the economy I was going to say I likew but I like all out NBC dwarfs even more why not did you say dwarves or quarks we're talking War said dwarves dwares you
- 00:27:53
have they don't like another faction so when you're ask all a sudden you got a big war and the players can interact with the NPCs in that War uh absolutely I mean that that's that's all just going to be a byproduct of you know the whole economic simulator and what you know what it's running under the hood location the the economics do need to be upset um some things in in economics and a variety of games they get out of tilt they get out of kilter and every once in a while it's good to upset the economics of a game and Wars do that oh yeah yeah no I think Tony was Tony was saying that that that's part of what the economic simul does not that it's based on economics it's just that the the met a that we that that Tony and I are talking about the Met AI comes from the economic simulation right also if if I want to join in on the war as U say a policing
- 00:28:43
faction or maybe even a militant not necessarily a pirate could I do that well I think you definitely will be able to join organiz if there's an organization fighting another organization if they're open to part of a corporation faction okay I'm I didn't cat yeah we're talking over each other so I'm sorry refering to is a militant faction like military uh and not necessarily a corporation I could join in and uh and interact in an NPC militant uh uh mil mil some military organization that's going to go and participate in this war would I be able to do that yeah yeah yeah well no I mean we're planning that there will be like uh missions that you can take sort of mercenary missions that will be
- 00:29:29
supplementing uee action so for instance you know maybe there's a uh push against the Vandal and one star system and missions would be out there we need you know 10 Pilots to join the the fleet to take out this station stuff like that so that's already part of uh kind of the plans and we also do have plans for various factions or organizations to be in conflict with each other and based on the way the economy simulation Works which is let's let maybe let's not call it an economy simulation it's a Universe simulation would be the best way to talk about it it's sort of a meta Universe simulation and it simulates you know 20 million whatever AI agents and that's the one that's deciding uh you know what these organizations are up to you know kind of what the big goals are and then that sort of um basically trickles down to what you see on the game side yeah and uh one other important important
- 00:30:18
point to add to that is this whole you know Universe simulation is not you know we're not setting this up and then just letting it run you know according to its own devices we're actually investing quite a bit of effort uh on the backside such that we will actually be able to visually inspect see what's going on monitor you know what's happening in every system at a kind of you know at a god-like level and part of the reason why we want to do that is to see uh when things are reaching uh levels that you know such that we basically want to step in as designers and you know Institute some kind of change for example you may have a system and it's completely and there's very little way in the way of conflict and we noticed that it's been like that for the last you know 12 hours it's reached a nice state of equilibrium and so then we can go into the
- 00:31:06
simulation and we can throw in a big you know vuel swarm that invades that area that's going to wind up having all sorts of Ripple effects not only to that system but to neighboring systems and that would wind up playing out you know affecting you know like I was saying everything from commodity prices to the availability of ships to what missions your time's up the uh the stopwatch doesn't lie I'm sorry next and thanks for the drink by the way I appreciate I think Jake's talking too much person you're welcome I I've noticed he's getting be a little feisty a few more of these cocktails come over here all right shut Jason off for the time next yeah I think I should get a few extra seconds for that drink so nope he that yeah yeah I saw a thing you're
- 00:31:58
you're welcome you're welcome somebody give my wife a drink ticket please um so I would like to see alien fauna play like a pretty significant role um whether it be uh capturing it for research on a remote planet or seeing it impact the local populace like think like pitch black where at night everyone has to run inside because the local fauna is swarming the planet and can kill everybody um or capturing it for someone's Zoo collection like for a pirate lord he's trying to capture all the animals and also um strip clubs and casinos please nice are those things related or uh yeah cuz they're all back in the P are right up your alley things to where you w them it's just a matter of you know where they fit in the in the
- 00:32:46
schedule i r a back sorry Jake I talked over you go ahead I was just going to say I want to Rite a do back that's what I want to do Jake wants to write a do back you from don't we all yeah got to stop yet like um uh well no I was just going to say I mean if we're talking about collecting stuff that's kind of another part of the design is the idea when I talked about going to different parts of the universe like we're specifically trying to have uh you know like think of it like the seven wonders of the universe or whatever you want to do where you have places you go and like it's an amazing view or you know there's some uh you know you from this place you take a a flower from this other place you take a a weird animal or the other place you take a little statue of Terra Tower like you'd get like a little you know Eiffel Tower thing if you went to
- 00:33:33
Paris bu the Eiffel Tower that is part of kind of what we want to do on the collection basis uh did I hear it wrong or well I I I thought uh I thought that you were saying you Flor F in regards to you know Terrain in other words you would actually be able to venture out from the cities which is more of a longer term goal world right yeah I know that was something that was like way way off that is what you meant though but yeah like venturing outside the city maybe not even populated plan you go out in the wilds and capture some sort of wild animal trap it bring it back and you know and then well I mean I actually yeah so we'll we'll see but I actually think that we may have uh some more sort of like uh naturalistic landing locations you could go than than you would think because that's actually something that's actually quite easy for
- 00:34:21
us to generate uh in cry engine and to a certain extent procedurally so you know actually building out a city with all the shops and everything is quite a lot of work even when it's prefabbed up so we have talked about having some sort of simpler areas where you land where you know like for instance like you know a mission could be that there's a scientific research station up a mountain or something and so we basically have The Landing Pad uh and the area where you would sort of take your Rover and load supplies that you've been contracted to take to the scientific station and you would drive up the mountain pass and deliver it and maybe there's some wild animals along the way that attack you or whatever then you go back to your ship and take off so we are kind of that that's kind of an example of the sort of firsters universe encounters that we're talking about doing to open it up so it's not all just you land in a city and it's concrete uh
- 00:35:09
or you're in space yeah it's like the constellation commercial remember where they landed and I mean we definitely want to have um experiences like that right I mean uh to encounter other things and you know conceivably cage it up and bring it back I mean that's something that I would like well caging up and bring it back that's the that that's the suggestion right that's the pitch yeah to bring back to that so collecting why not well you maybe I mean we go back to the fish thing here we go some sometimes you just got to stop and pick the flowers no matter what you're doing that's just how it is right no no well you'll definitely like flowers fish all those things I mean whether it's a mountain lion and you're taking that back in a cage that's what another level of I of code and I think for good reason we're just not going to touch the whole whenever play it and then you start to
- 00:35:57
get do you but you could do what you do in Far Cry 4 which is basically you guys are talking to yourselves Again by the way just but I'm saying I'm man we're talking I don't nobody can hear you when you talk to each other I just wanted you to know that discussing the idea I'm saying 100 different planets each planet should all have thanks again for the drink it's another thing it's another trophy my point is you harvest trophies right you can Harvest a trophy by picking a plant you can Harvest trophy by killing an animal on a planet it's all the same you get an item that you get to put back in your hanger talking the timer's off that's true Tony is a vegetarian so he's probably let me reset it right okay go okay so you got your microwave cannons your red lasers your blue lasers I can't hear you you got your microwave cannons your red lasers your blue lasers I want to
- 00:36:45
design that's old centuries old and reliable I want a 1911 pistol I wow let me hold on that was amazing hold on hold on hold on let me let me repeat it uh we talk about red lasers we talk about blue lasers you want something that's centuries old you want a 1911 pistol right yeah a 45 I didn't hear you I just need to walk up and put a 45 45 caliber ACP 1911 pistol yeah I want one of those to um I I actually don't so I'm the resident gun nerd by the way at uh thanks and I'm pretty sure that I'm driving Chris crazy count tell we in Texas or anything and I'm pretty I know I'm surprised everybody take it out and
- 00:37:33
shoot it up in the air how do y yeah it's probably better anyway anyway I'm I'm pretty sure that I'm driving Chris and a lot of the concept artists crazy because I see these concept pieces and I'm like how does that even work like like they'll put an LC they'll put an LCD panel where the uh you know where the action is or where the ejection Port ought to be and it's like there's no way this is going to happen right so yeah anyway yeah I want a 1911 as well because the 1911 is at this point 104 years old right and I don't see any reason why it won't still be you have combustion pistol uh today yeah like it's not necessarily a 1911 cult but it's close enough but it's such a good design that there's no
- 00:38:22
reason why it won't be working 300 years 400 years from now right I'm going to take this away anyway somebody hit the I'm going to go ahead and make sure we put one of those in the game just for you cuz why Nots unite uh creola first time caller longtime listener I I didn't hear you um what I'd like to have is uh if someone kills someone like actually they've used up their lives and um Bonnie Hunter goes and captures them and brings them to justice um have them have to pay the next of kin of the people they killed out of their own
- 00:39:09
pocket are you a viking by any chance real money yes yes so so panel you want to hear more about that I'm I'm still trying to understand what the uh so so I'm I'm I'm a bad guy I've got no lives left and a bounty hunter comes and gets me no no no no uh someone kills someone like a pirate kills a traitor and actually kills takes their last uh life whatever and their next of kin carries on once that pirate is captured by a bounty hunter and brought to Justice they would have to have to uh pay replications to the uh next of kin out of their own ueec you
- 00:39:58
yeah yeah yeah uh a financial penalty for past transgressions I'm not heing uh yeah I don't I it's I mean I guess the only thing I would the the only thing I'll say is that we're you know like if you get captured we're talking about having a mechanic where you'll either have to bribe your way out or you're going to have to escape from like a space prison it will be sort of like a mini FPS level um so I guess you can already have have the payment part of it I guess the only thing is it it's not really paying it to the sort of next to K it's going it's going to it's going to the state right now yeah and pretty much yeah well if you're going to model it on the real world it always goes to the state that's basic what
- 00:40:44
happens that's uh well we went from a very old weapon system to a very old weapon or I'm sorry a very old system of justice that's awesome
