is that are our ship designs are so are so unique to their to their style that it's okay to to not like this ship and to like this ship everybody has favorites everybody has ships they don't like and that's one of my things the things that I really like about star say and so I often say you know there's no ship that's supposed to be liked by everybody it's supposed to be unique and individual and then the KNX comes along and it's like oh all right well maybe a ship can be liked by everybody it's pretty cool nope what else did you do this week Ben uh just a lot of stuff along those lines it was you know planning for future ships um we uh we have our ships for the rest of the year all uh figured out at this point and now we're figuring

out you know what are we going to do on the website what's the brochure going to be for this ship how are we going to present you know it's not that exciting but it's work that has to be done one of the things I haven't seen is that in the KNX sales page if you go to the sales page in The Parallax along the left and right there's a little tabs that has act that have actual Shon writing and I haven't seen anybody translate that they are translatable if you go back to the uh Shion language episode of around the verse well honestly at at the very start of this process we we figured Jean bike we're going to we'll talk about the language and the culture and we'll we'll play that up a lot and it just it came together totally differently um so I think it's kind of left from that uh but speaking of the website the the Knox website is one of the best sales sites we've done and I want to I want to give uh super super credit to the guys that turbulent um Caitlyn and Scott who made

that happen it's it's fantastic um seriously a similar attention to detail for the eclipse sale last month where they they just they put so much into that and it it was so cool uh Tyler Witkin in the Austin Texas Studio what what have you been up to um but just to add to that what Ben said as well uh similar attention to the website revamp they're working on so that going to be awesome when that's finally out in the world um a lot of different things um we got some events coming up so there's been a lot of planning for Gamescom um we've been doing a lot of cool stuff with social media we're we're toying with some third party tools and really just just diving into it and having some fun trying to get creative I think a lot of people noticed that uh we've been getting a little gift friendly replying with people which has been really fun for us um some cool stuff coming later in the year um continued work on our new

let's go ahead and get out of the way let's start start with start with a ship question specifically a ship question about the Carrick the Carrick what's the status uh the Carrick is on our schedule for next year if I'm not mistaken that's correct yeah so until it's time on the schedule comes up there won't be an update on the car it's just um of course the the ship schedule you can see that as part of the production schedule it's up on our website you can see the ships that are scheduled to be worked on this year um it's we'd love to work on every single ship it's just like I said we have 999 ships and we have quite a few resources are you know our we're over 400 staff across four Studios but that's still a limited number that can still only work on so many ships in a given time but find comfort in knowing that the Carrick is my favorite ship and I can be very annoying and and honestly and honestly a truism throughout star

marketing stuff and the gamew workk in parallel so we now know that you oh we don't need to make some high-rise image just for the sale we we do it in such a way that the ship is starting to be integrated into the game already and we take those assets and work with them um it's it's made the whole thing a lot more efficient I I think you guys saw with the the KNX we were able to show it like in bug Smashers in the engine the next week uh so it's a it's also smooth now compared to years ago it's it's great yeah uh well that's that's the whole idea of this thing you get better over time uh Tyler Wick there's a question in chat for you witch glitch when actually that's a really good question and something I've been thinking about uh we give Studio tours um you know in our in our in our Studios occasionally and every time people come in they're like

manager so no maybe I don't know uh we've got a tour here in the LA Studio later today actually there's a tour going on in the Manchester studio today there's a tour going on in the LA Studio like literally as soon as we're done with the show I got to head over there and and take some backers to the studio uh one of the most common questions is a good time to mention that people ask how do you get to be on a studio tour uh you submit a ticket through the Cs system uh tours happen on specific days and times uh usually once a month at most uh that's just to minimize the impact on our development so you can submit a ticket to CS uh they will tell you when the next tour or maybe even the next two tours are available in that studio and if there's a way to make that work for you you know your chances are good being being added so so that's how that's happen happening so people can ask that um yeah you got you got that cool look

at that yeah people keep mentioning it in chat I'll give it a quick shout out because uh it's been a little while since we've highlighted this but this was 3D printed by engineer hand painted and it is it is a beauty it's handsome and it was in the uh it was in our lobby for a very long time but it's so attractive that everybody wanted to pick it up and fly it around the office and I was was like nope you guys are going to drop it I'm putting it in my office we've actually got a 3D printed uh caterpillar uh right here behind us that was also uh sent by a backer and it was built by him and his uh middle son he made a note he made a special note I've got three sons they're all backers but only my middle son helped with this so I I like any dad who wants to shame two of his kids for not helping while we're thanking folks for sending us gifts um

as I was coming in I saw that we got a a fruit basket from for AK Miku oh for the dev team so thank you so much uh does it have those chocolate covered strawberries I did not I was not there for the unveiling I had to get in here uh if it did it doesn't anymore I'm sure by the time we're done here it won't were you just going to eat the chocolate off and leave the strawberries yeah I'm not a fan of strawberries that's a process known as Jared so what's the next item uh we got a question about um the starf is the starf only used for hauling fuel or can you switch it out for more physical storage we did initially expect that there would be different pods underneath instead of the fuel pods um we have not built them yet um but I think definitely that is something we will revisit down

the line um and in fact I I'm familiar with another configuration of the starf far we're talking about so there's there's more to starf far yeah I was speaking with uh will Maiden who's one of the designers in the UK who's uh one of the things he's working on specifically is the cargo system and he and he was asking about about the stfair and being able to swap that stuff out so not necessarily something you're going to see in 3.0 or anything but it's definitely something that's on our minds one thing that we we're finding a lot with ships and it's it's one of the reasons why we don't do so many variants when we kick off a ship anymore is that as we build out things like planets and solar systems and so on we're finding more and more situations where we say oh wait we need a ship that does this and then we go back and say hey this starf far could be modified in this way or oh this saber could have this change and um
