with that one yeah I don't see it at all read this hey everybody thanks for joining us I'm James PE and I'm here with Randy Vasquez Randy how you doing I'm doing all right man myself oh pretty good man thanks for coming on so how did you get started in the industry um let me see I started actually in QA working at a vendi back in the day and then just like testing games and then since my experience with like it and everything I was doing mint testing um like Min speec testing I was doing like Parts requirements I was doing burn lab stuff and then like all the all the network testing behind all the games to make sure that the games are syncing up to servers and everything properly so yeah I was doing that actually at Sony before I got got this job too nice nice so how did you hear about Star Citizen um actually my buddy Tavy hit me up in like when I was still working at carbine Big

Ups to Tabby sorry he had hit me up and basically he was like oh my god dude there's this game you know because we used to play the crap out of like Wing Commander TIE fighter all that stuff so I was like oh my God space s want it and then you had not heard of it before then mm how long ago is this I want to say like when the kickstarted first went out okay so so like it was right when I first started and stuff he was all about it inside and that I never actually kickstarted anything so I was kind of like oh wait and then once you guys got your own website then I was like all right I'll pledge oh cool so you were a backer before you get the job mhm what was it about video games that like Drew you to this industry I think actually like tabletop games actually got me into it so like I started with um mechu and Robotech um tabletop um but the thing is is my brother wouldn't actually play the game with us because it was way too

complicated too many rules so I ended up making like making new rules and simplified everything down and then I created everything in Legos so that way we didn't use little models we actually made like pure big Lego models and stuff like that so ships robots everything Vehicles tanks hover hover grass like I made all this stuff in Legos I had all labeled I had dice rolls for it I had like spreadsheets like on paper basically on what the stats were and stuff like that and then when you wanted to make a pilot you know you'd roll dice and you'd be a robot a human or whatever so yeah I went all crazy with that like I did that like when I was like eight or nine and I kept up with her for a few years with some of my cousins and my brother and then um when I got old enough to figure out that it was actually a real job I was like what you could do this as a job how is this a thing so that's cool so where where did you grow up um I'm a military brat so I

kind of grew up everywhere uh but I was born in Puerto Rico and then we moved to New York which is kind of like a little mini Puerto Rico right and then like um Florida Virginia I love Florida cheing um I was in Panama Central America for a little bit um like I've been all over the east coast and stuff Maryland Delaware Jersey for a bit like everywhere you're a world traveler dude I don't know about that working on it you're a world traveler and you came back to be here that shows how awesome Star Citizen is so what was your favorite place to live oh favorite place to live I have no idea actually I mean every single place is different right every single place like the culture the vibe everything like that I know whenever I like I love going back to like home to visit like Puerto Rico and stuff with my family to
