   edition of quantum questions where we take a CID developer put them on the hot seat and make them answer as many questions from you the star citizen subscriber as they can in under two minutes joining us on the show this week is Paul Baden from from Austin Austin Texas hey you don't ball done great you ready you're psyched in you be in the citizencon swing of things I think I'm ready right so let's put two minutes on the clock and begin what is your name and what do you do my name is Paul Baden I'm the global IT manager for the five studios and I also am the event IT manager so I do all of the public events that we do what are your responsibilities for this year's

   citizencon a a lot of coordinating with the different departments and making sure that they have all of the tech equipment that they need you know organizing all of the PCs and software builds that we're gonna have getting all of that you know cleared and set up with the event staff and then ultimately setting it all up and getting people in and playing the game how many areas do we have at this year's citizencon we've got five five all right there's the the atrium B where you first come in we will have some demo machine

   set up there showing off some some new tech then upstairs there's the universal where we'll have twenty four pcs set up for people to play on a open playground kind of like we had at Gamescom but it's a newer playground level that's got some - kind of cool exciting surprises in it and then there's a bar area that have you know drinks and whatnot and an area where you'll be able to meet with star citizen developers when they're between panels not on a panel there's a you know meet and greet area and then also the

   the main stage where we're gonna have all of the panels that we're gonna have throughout the day what is an nvme nbme is a type of storage for the computer where it has a direct channel to the CPU your normal storage like SSDs or magnetic hard drive go through a different interface that then the has access to the CPU whereas nvme drives are directly on the CPU bus so they have just order of magnitude faster access and and you know deliver data so much faster than traditional SSDs or magnetic guides
